What is Laser Therapy?

Laser therapy is the application of specific wavelengths of laser light to stimulate metabolic processes at the cellular level. The laser beam is moved over the skin so that the light energy (photons) penetrates the tissue where it interacts with molecules (chromophores) that cause different biological effects resulting in reduced pain, decreased inflammation, and increased healing.

Photon energy must be able to effectively penetrate the skin and underlying structures to accelerate the healing process. Dr. Jill Chiropractic utilizes the most powerful High-Intensity Class IV therapy laser available. This laser can penetrate deep tissues and provide significantly higher dosage levels, a key for positive clinical outcomes.

Chronic conditions usually take longer and may require 8-12 visits. These are general averages and results vary per individual and condition.
